The Sports Institute Hitting Leagues are designed for baseball players to work on the skills and drills necessary to become a more complete baseball player.
The coaches at SI perform basic and advanced techniques to develop high school, college and professional hitters to become better with each at bat. Practicing is essential at any level and is a must to climb the ladder and become a better player.
Players will receive expert advice and personalize training from our coaches throughout the hitting league. Players will also receive video analysis and technical feedback on our state-of-the-art Dartfish video software. This video helps coaches to track the progress using the video library and explain drills necessary for corrective techniques.
Dartfish Video Analysis is the same video softward that is used in the MLB Home Run Derby and in the recent Olympics in Athens and Torino.

Dean Bowyer - During Bowyer's 32-year tenure as MSU's baseball coach, the Mavericks captured 20 league championships - 28 MSU players coached by Bowyer were selected in the Major League Baseball draft - 46 Bowyer produced players signed professional contracts - Dean was introduced into the American Baseball Coaches Association Hall of Fame in January 2006.
Kevin Dixon - Dixon played three years at MSU. Dixon received all-conference and all-region honors his sophomore year. In 2004 he hit and pitched for the Moondogs and was invited to Cleveland's Fall Instructional League in Florida. Dixon went on to be selected in the 5th round of 2005 MLB Draft. Dixon is currently playing for the Akron Aeros (AA Eastern League, Cleveland Indians).
Craig Fritz - Craig played college baseball at Bethany Lutheran College and then when on to play at the University of Northern Iowa. After college, Craig signed a minor league contract and played in Moosejaw, Saskachawan. Craig is the Performance Director, Co-owner and Head Strength coach at the Sports Institute. Fritz graduated with a bachelors degree in Health Science, and is also a Strength Coach member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association.
